This silicone coated fiberglass is fiberglass base fabric which is both sides coated with specially bonded silicone rubber. It is asbestos-free. Silicone coated fiberglass fabric has many advantages, such as fire resistant, highly flexible, stronger strength, good abrasion resistance, ozone resistant, oxygen aging resistant, climate aging resistant and oil resistant, puncture, and tear resistance, etc. Silicone coating has added water and oil resistance and low smoke and flame retardant. This silicone fiberglass fabric's dry surface does not stick to the sewing table, making it easier to sew, drape, and handle. The base fiberglass fabric has a temperature resistance of 1000°F/550°C, the silicone coating is rated for 536°F/280°C. It provides an excellent protection fabric used in welding blanket and curtains, fire blankets, splash curtains, fabric expansion joint, heat shield, high-temperature removable jackets, valve covers, insulating blankets and other heat resistant parts.
