Indications for the Dyna Ankle Support

Designed to place your foot and ankle in a neutral position to prevent further discomfort or injury, the Ankle Support is perfect for the following injuries:

• Conservative treatment of anterior talofibular ligament fractures in the ankle
• Conservative treatment of calcaneofibular ligament fractures in the ankle
• Post-operative protection after ligament repair and/or reconstruction
• Ruptures of the deltoid ligament
• Sprains

How Do You Apply the Ankle Support?

This support should be worn day and night, generally for six weeks. If swelling increases or pain develops, please contact your physician immediately. Once healed, the support can still be used during vigorous activities for added protection. To apply the Dyna Ankle Orthosis, please follow these instructions:

1. Place the foot in the plastic shell, sliding your heel to the back
2. Pull the lower hook and pile strap from the inner side of your foot across the top of the foot, then through the outer plastic guide
3. Tighten the strap so the heel fits snugly in the shell
4. Pull the upper hook and pile strap through the plastic loop and fasten
5. Fasten the hook and pile strap on the forefoot
6. Slightly stretch the elastic functional strap and fasten. The shape of the orthosis and the tension of the strap ensure correct position of the joint
7. When putting on the shoe, open the laces completely to ensure easy donning of the orthosis
