1. Description

Wire rope isolators are robust mounting assemblies comprised of high-quality stranded wire rope securely held in durable metal retainers. The isolation effectiveness of each element is influenced by several factors, including the wire rope diameter, number of strands, cable length, cable twist or lay, and the quantity of cables per section.

Inherent damping is achieved through flexure hysteresis, specifically the rubbing and sliding friction between the wire rope strands. These isolators offer superior isolation compared to other mediums or designs, delivering excellent vibration damping. The versatility of cable mounts is exceptional, addressing a wide range of physical and engineering requirements, encompassing nearly every isolation need. They dispel the notion that a single mount cannot simultaneously address both shock and vibration.
