The 3 7/8" RD Safety Circulation Valve combines safety valve and circulation valve functions for drill stem testing operations in slim hole applications. This full-opening tool allows perforating gun passage and can be converted to a rupture disk circulating valve by removing the ball section.

Operation Guidelines
When used as the primary reversing valve, the RD Safety Circulating Valve is positioned above the tester valve in the tool string. Formation fluids become trapped between its ball valve and the ball valve in the tool string's test valve. A drain valve should be placed between these tools to safely vent trapped pressure at the surface. Proper rupture disk pressure calculation is essential before operation, requiring mud weight, testing depth, bottom hole temperature, and maximum annulus pressure data.
