The Lock Open Tester Valve is a full bore tester valve operated by annulus pressure control. Designed for cased hole testing and perforating operations, this valve enables multiple cycles while maintaining full annulus pressure balance. The valve remains securely closed during tripping operations.

Operation Principle
The lock open tester valve features a spring-loaded normally closed ball valve design. Spring force maintains the closed position, while applied annulus pressure opens and locks the valve open. Upon pressure release, the ball valve closes automatically. Hydrostatic pressure fluid is contained behind a nitrogen chamber, compressing nitrogen to match hydrostatic pressure. This balanced pressure system operates through upper and lower pistons with equal cross-sectional areas, ensuring valve stability.
