The API-certified Hay Pulley serves as the top and bottom sheave system in wireline pressure control operations, designed to guide and manipulate wireline direction from horizontal to vertical orientation as it routes from the wireline unit to the stuffing box.
Key Operational Features
  • Positioned at wellhead on lubricator to minimize side pull forces
  • Prevents lateral loading of lubricator during heavy jarring operations
  • Top sheave features adjustable center distance for precise rope guidance
  • Bottom sheave provides universal rotation capability
  • Slickline passes through both sheaves to connect with well test winch drum
  • Enables controlled insertion and retrieval of slickline tools into wells
