Gyn Probe Procedures for Oophorectomy

1. Clamp ovarian vessels proximal to the ovary and ligate;

2. Incise peritoneum of the anterior and posterior leaves for the broad ligament toward the uterine cornu;

3. Clamp the junction of the fallopian tube and uterine cornu, and ligate at the utero-ovarian vascular anastomosis;

4. Repeat for other ovary if bilateral.

5. If only oophorectomy is required, divide the mesosalpinx and utero-ovarian vascular supply adjacent to the fallopian tube.

    

Surgical Complications

Early complications such as: hyponatremia, urinary tract infection, shock etc. Strict sterile manipulation can reduce infection rate. Plasma enucleation with saline irrigation can reduce the risk of hyponatremia.

Dysuria after surgery may be caused by nerve defect of the patient, or may be caused by incomplete removing of hyperplastic glands in surgery.

Paruria such as: hematuria under microscope and pyuria lasting for months, which may be related to the gradually falling off of necrotic tissue in wound healing process after surgery, or maybe caused by renal lesion. The latter needs to be inspected and treated in hospital in time.

Uracratia. Some are false uracratia, which can be recovered by itself in 3 months after surgery. Some may be caused by inflammation, tumor, calculi, or nerve factors.

Urethrostenosis. Find out the stricture part carefully to expand urethra, or apply electrosection treatment again.

Functional disorder. Many patients complain about unsatisfied sex after surgery, but the reasons may be caused by mental factors, which should be given psychological guidance.
