Gabion Basket is a kind of cage made from Hexagonal Wire Mesh, Wire Diameter usually from 2.0mm to 4.0mm, and mesh hole from 80*100mm to 110*130mm, the size can be 1M high into a cage, also can be lower than 0.5M into mattres.The common specification of the gabion box is 2.7mm mesh wire diameter, with 3.4mm Selvage Wire, and 80*100mm Mesh hole, The size of the gabion box can customized, according to client's requirements.

The steel wire used in the manufacture of the gabion is heavily Galfan coated soft temper steel. A PVC coating is then applied to provide added protection for use in polluted environments where soils or water are acidic: in salt or fresh water, or wherever the risk of corrosion is present. The PVC coating has a nominal thickness of 0.50 mm.

The gabion is divided into cells by means of diaphragms positioned at approximately 1m centers, In order to reinforce the structure, all mesh panel edges are selvedged with a wire having a greater diameter.
