Gabion basket, also known as gabion box and gabion net, is a new type of ecological grid structure. It has been successfully applied to water conservancy projects, highways, railway projects and dike protection projects, and has well realized the organic combination of engineering structure and ecological environment. The gabion basket is made of twisted hexagonal woven mesh. The metal wire used to make gabion baskets is made of soft tensile heavy galvanized steel, and PVC coating can also be used for additional corrosion protection when the application requires. The double twisting of the woven wire mesh provides structural integrity, strength and continuity by increasing the non-loosening effect of preventing any accidental damage from spreading. Application

Gabion Baskets are also used for erosion control for bank stabilization, channel linings, and weirs.
