Earth-Retaining Wall Woven Three-Twist Hexagonal PVC Coating Gabion Basket Box Cage

Gabion is PVC coatings on zinc-coated metal wire fabric containers with variable sizes that fill rocks to form permanent structures. Green gabion mattress (Fibromat is also called gabion mattress system) is a great soil stabilization system, which can be used for slope erosion control, toe and river bank protection, to maximize the permeability of the structure, while providing reinforcement and grassland construction.

Gabion mattresses are used as retaining walls to provide various prevention and protection projects, such as landslide prevention, erosion and erosion protection, as well as hydraulic and coastal protection for various types of rivers, seas and river courses. This gabion mattress system is made of a specially designed composite material, which maximizes its performance through a three-stage vegetation process from non-vegetation to vegetation establishment to vegetation maturation.

Gabion basket is made of twisted hexagonal woven mesh. The metal wire used to make gabion baskets is made of soft tensile heavy galvanized steel, and PVC coating can also be used for additional corrosion protection when the application requires. The double twisting of the woven wire mesh provides structural integrity, strength and continuity by increasing the non-loosening effect of preventing any accidental damage from spreading. Fastening wires are used to assemble and interconnect empty units and to close and fix stone filling units. Once assembled, the basket will be filled with stones at the scene.

Gabion Installation Process:

1. Ends,diaphragms,front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh

2. Secure panels by screwing sprial binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels

3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal bracing,and crimped

4. Box gabion filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel.

5. After filling,close the lid and secure with sprial binders at the diaphragms,ends,front and back.

6. When stacking tiers of the weled gabion,the lid of the lower tier may serve as base of the upper tier.Secure with sprial binders and add pre-formed stiffeners to exterior cells before filling with graded stones.
