Invar 36 (UNS K93600 / Werkstoff 1.3912) is a nickel-iron low-expansion alloy containing 36% nickel. This specialized material maintains an exceptionally low coefficient of thermal expansion from cryogenic temperatures up to approximately 260°C, making it ideal for precision applications requiring dimensional stability across temperature variations.
