Grade 904L is a superaustenitic stainless steel engineered for moderate to high corrosion resistance across diverse industrial environments. With its optimized composition of 25% nickel and 4.5% molybdenum, this alloy delivers superior performance in corrosive applications.

Performance Advantages
This high-purity steel offers excellent chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance, with pitting and general corrosion resistance superior to 316L and 317L molybdenum-enhanced stainless steels. Originally developed for dilute sulfuric acid environments, it also provides strong resistance to hot phosphoric acid and most organic acids.
