Nitronic 60 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with enhanced corrosion resistance due to its chromium content. This manganese-based alloy offers excellent yield strength at room temperature and maintains superior mechanical properties at both elevated and sub-zero temperatures. While not suitable for cold-forming applications, Nitronic 60 provides exceptional hardness and performance in hot-rolled conditions.

Corrosion Resistance Properties
Nitronic 60 stainless steel delivers outstanding corrosion resistance that exceeds Types 316, 316L, 317, and 317L in various media. The standard annealed condition at 1950°F (1066°C) provides adequate corrosion resistance with enhanced strength levels. For highly corrosive environments or welded applications, the 2050°F (1121°C) annealed condition is recommended.
