Performance Comparison

Pressure is generated when resin passes over the barrier, forcing any air in the melted resin back to the feed side and effectively preventing the intrusion of air bubbles. This is highly effective with resins that generate bubbles such as PS, PA, PET and EVOH.

Bimetallic Screw Treatment

The bimetallic screw for extruder twin screw features a 2-3mm thick alloy coat spray-welded on the screw flight of the output area. This treatment provides excellent corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and high working temperature capability. The useful service life is significantly improved compared to common nitrided screws.
