Description
The product is a kind of low ash content extruded activated carbon developed for catalyst or catalyst carrier.It can be divided into cylindrical carbon, briquette charcoal, crushed carbon, powdered carbon, impregnated carbon and low ash content granular series varieties according to different production process. Cylindrical activated carbon combines powdered activated carbon with a binder, which are fused together and extruded into a cylindrical shaped activated carbon block with diameters from 0.8 to10 mm. The product is also designed to comply with all the applicable provision of ASTM standard for extruded activated carbon.
Applications
It is used primarily for catalyst or catalyst carrier in synthetic industry. This carbon is a coarser mesh media and is generally used in deep bed filters where pressure drop may be concerned.It functions as a dual purpose media providing both filtration and adsorption.
