Tabular Alumina
1 . Product Description
Tabular alumina is produced by sintering ball-formed, intermediately burned calcined alumina at a temperature just under the 2040º C melting point of aluminum oxide.
Refractory white tabular aluminais a pure sintered α-alumina materials that has been fully densified by rapid-sintering without the use of sintering aids at temperature in excess 1900°c.
Refractory white tabular alumina has characteristic large, well developed hexagonal tablet shaped α-alumina crystals of up to 200μm length.
These tabular alumina balls are then crushed, graded or screened, ground and blended to a wide range of granular or powdered particle size distributions.
Application:
Refractory industry application tabular alumina TA grains are used in the refractory industry for making monolithics as well as shaped product.
