The ABB VTR Series Turbocharger Cover Ring is designed for ship diesel engines,
featuring axial-flow turbine technology and centrifugal compressor design for optimal
performance in marine applications.
Product Overview
VTR series turbochargers are axial-flow units combining single-stage axial-flow turbines
and centrifugal compressors. They utilize outboard support roller bearings and self-supplying
shaft-end centrifugal or gear lube oil pump systems. The main casing can rotate freely in
15° or 30° intervals for flexible installation. With a flow range of 0.5-18 m³/s,
compression ratio of 2.0-4.0, and total efficiency up to 62%, these turbochargers
support diesel engines from 250-10,000 kW.
