Lithium Niobate (LiNbO3) crystal substrate wafer is a negative uniaxial crystal and one of the most thoroughly characterized optical materials available. With large electro-optic coefficients, wide optical transparency window, and high optical quality, LiNbO3 is the preferred material for optical modulation and Q-switch applications at near-infrared and infrared wavelengths.
