What are the Features and characteristics of chrome-plated rods?

(1): Chromium anodes cannot be used for chrome plating, and insoluble anodes such as pure lead, lead-tin alloy, lead-antimony alloy, etc. are usually used;
Chromium is a variable-valence metal and has oxyacid radicals, so the cathodic reduction process is very complicated;
Although the polarization value of chromium plating is large, the polarization degree is very small, so the dispersion and coverage of the plating solution are poor, and auxiliary anodes and protective cathodes are often used;
Chromium plating uses oxygen-containing acid as the main salt. Chromium has a strong affinity with oxygen, making electrolysis difficult and low current efficiency;
Chromium plating needs a high current density, but the current efficiency is very low, and a large amount of hydrogen gas is precipitated, resulting in a large ohmic voltage drop of the plating solution, so the voltage of chromium plating should be relatively high.

(2) What are the characteristics of chrome-plated rods?
The uniformity is poor, and the plated parts with complex shapes need to be properly treated;
The anode adopts insoluble anode, and the chromic acid must be supplemented by chromic anhydride;
When the preheating of the plated parts is consistent with the temperature of the liquid, the adhesion will be good;
The plated parts need to be fully activated, and sometimes they need to be charged into the tank, so that the adhesion is good;
Need to use impulse current (greater than 50-100% of normal) to electroplate parts with more complex shapes at the beginning, and then slowly drop to the normal current density range after about 2-3 minutes;
The current efficiency is very low, and a higher current density is required; plating pieces with different shapes should not be treated in the same tank, and different racks must be used; operating conditions such as liquid temperature, current density, and pole distance must be strictly controlled; the electroplating process must not be interrupted.
