Aluminum cast steel moulds Sow moulds are reusable cast steel moulds designed to reduce shrinkage during aluminium ingot casting processes. The mould’s standard and low profile designs can be customized to meet specific project requirements. Optional sow mould features include the addition of company logos and of feet or lugs for material handling.

Aluminum Capacity Sow Molds can be made of Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Cast Steel 1028, or Cast Steel 8630. Cast Steel 1028 is the recommended material since it can be welded and repaired if needed. Available in Plain Style, With Runners, or Fork Slots.
