Egg Ball Appearance 5g 25g 50g 80g Plastic Cream Jar with CP-16-M Model for Cosmetic and Skincare Packaging
The Unique Challenge of Jar Packaging
Unlike pumps or tubes, a cream jar requires you to repeatedly dip your fingers into the product. This introduces the main challenges: contamination, oxidation, and degradation of the active ingredients.
The goal of proper jar usage is to maximize the benefits of the product while minimizing these risks.
Step-by-Step Guide to Hygienic Jar Usage
Preparation is Key
-
Wash Your Hands Thoroughly: This is the most critical step. Use soap and water, scrubbing for at least 20 seconds, and dry with a clean towel. Your hands are the primary source of bacteria.
-
Cleanse Your Face: Ensure your skin is clean and dry (or damp, if the product recommends it) before application.
-
Use the Right Tool (Highly Recommended): The best practice is to avoid using your fingers altogether. Use a small cosmetic spatula or spoon.
-
If you don't have a spatula, a clean, dry Q-tip (cotton swab) is a good alternative.
-
Scooping the Product
-
If using a spatula: Dip the clean spatula into the jar and scoop out the desired amount. Do not place the used spatula back into the jar. Wipe it clean with a tissue before storing it.
-
If using your fingers: Ensure your hands are impeccably clean. Use your ring finger (as it applies the least pressure) to scoop out a small amount. Try to take all the product you need in one scoop to avoid double-dipping.
