An OPGW is a wire that has optical fiber inside and serves two purposes: as a ground wire and for communication. It's used mainly for communication lines that are 110KV, 220KV, 500KV, 750KV, and new overhead.

- Stainless steel tubes filled with gel protect and support optical fibers. Careful control ensures good performance in different conditions. More fibers fit in larger tubes. This makes it strong and reliable with good electrical and mechanical properties.
