Neodymium magnets are composed of neodymium, iron, and boron (also referred to as NIB or NdFeB magnets). The powdered mixture is pressed under great pressure into molds, then sintered (heated under vacuum), cooled, and ground or sliced into desired shapes. Coatings are applied if required, and blank magnets are magnetized by exposure to a powerful magnetic field exceeding 30 KOe.
