High Current SMD Toroidal Common Mode Choke STRF01 Series High Impedance for DC-DC Converters
STRF01 Series high current common mode inductor,SMT Toroidal Ferrtie Core Common Mode Choke Designed for DC/DC Converter
The STRF01 series high-current SMD toroidal common-mode choke is designed for DC-DC and AC-DC converter applications. The product uses a ferrite toroidal core to provide high common-mode impedance across a wide frequency range, delivering excellent EMI/RFI suppression performance. The low-profile SMD package saves PCB space. The high current capacity and low DCR ensure efficient power conversion. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C (including self-temperature rise), suitable for various harsh environments. It is widely used in DC-DC/AC-DC converters, desktop/laptop power supplies, communication equipment, automotive electronics, and LCD TVs.

FAQ
Q: What are the advantages of the toroidal core compared to other core structures?
A: The toroidal core has a closed magnetic circuit structure. Magnetic flux is concentrated inside the core, resulting in very low leakage flux. EMI radiation is much lower than I-core or open-core inductors. The toroidal core also has high magnetic permeability, requiring fewer turns for the same inductance value. This results in lower DCR and higher efficiency.
Q: How to select the rated current?
A: When selecting, ensure the maximum operating current does not exceed the rated value, and consider temperature derating. We recommend selecting a rated current at least 1.2 to 1.5 times the maximum operating current to prevent core saturation, which would reduce filtering performance. Also ensure the component temperature (ambient temperature + temperature rise) does not exceed 125°C.
Q: Does this product support reflow soldering? What is the temperature resistance?
A: Yes. The STRF01 series uses an SMD package and is compatible with reflow soldering. The low-profile design and small size make it suitable for automated SMT production lines. For the specific reflow temperature profile, please refer to the product datasheet.
