SMP RF Connector Introduction
The SMP interface is a compact connector that matches the size of MMCX connectors, but supports a frequency range from DC to 40 GHz. The SMP interconnect series employs floating female-to-female adapters (commonly referred to as bullets) for stacking boards with SMP male PCB connectors. This robust design and resistance to radial and axial misalignment enable blind interconnection solutions. It is frequently used in miniaturized high-frequency coaxial modules, providing a reliable and efficient connection solution for various applications.
Features and Benefits
The connector is designed according to the industry standard of MIL-STD-348. It has a frequency range of DC to 40GHz and is made of gold plated and passivated stainless steel. The connector can be connected through push-on or snap coupling, and offers male and female options, as well as straight and right angle choices. Additionally, it provides normal type and hermetic seals, with flange mount and thread-in mount options. The plug interface form includes full detent, limited detent, and smooth bore (including with braking). Custom connectors are also available upon request.
