SMP RF Connector Introduction
The SMP is a compact, push-on RF coaxial connector adapter that offers several key advantages. It features a small form factor and lightweight design, along with exceptional seismic performance and a broad operating bandwidth. The SMP operates within a frequency range of up to 30GHz (our high-performance SMP connectors can extend up to 40GHz). Additionally, the plug comes in three interface options: full detent, limited detent, and smooth bore (including with break-away feature). These various interface configurations allow for the necessary axial or radial movement required for blind mating in broadband-to-broadband couplers. Ideal for installations demanding high reliability and modular robustness, the SMP is an excellent choice for applications requiring mechanical strength and precision connectivity.

This innovative connector boasts an exceptionally wide operating frequency range, spanning from DC to an impressive 40GHz. The SMP interface is available in two distinct forms: one is the ultra-compact interface, which shares the same form factor as the MMCX connector, and the other embodies the more conventional SMA interface dimensions. Both interface variants are engineered to handle frequencies up to 40GHz and offer a push-in, snap-fit method of connection, streamlining the mating process while ensuring a secure and reliable fit.
