It operates up to 30GHz, with high-performance versions reaching 40GHz. The SMP plug comes in three interface forms: full detent, limited detent, and smooth bore (including with catcher's mitt). These various interface forms accommodate the required axial or radial movement for blind mating in board-to-board systems. It is ideal for installation situations demanding high reliability and modular intensity.
