Rubber and plastic products will leave some rubber and plastic raw materials in the production process, which seriously affects the re-use of the mold, and it is necessary to clean the mold from time to time.
Sand blasting is to use compressed air as a power to form a high-speed jet beam to spray at a high speed onto the surface of the workpiece to be treated to change the mechanical properties of the surface.
 
At present, the most used method for tire mold cleaning is sand blast cleaning. The blast cleaning efficiency is high and clean, and the cost is low. The only inconvenience is that the mold needs to be removed. Generally, three kinds of cleaning media: glass bead, ceramic bead and resin sand. The lowest cost is glass sand, but the hardness is the lowest, which is rarely used now. Resin sand and ceramic beads are used repeatedly, which can reduce some costs.
