Ceramic shot peening bead is always considered as an ideal blasting and shot peening media, because of its smooth spherical surface, good hardness, high toughness and great elasticity. It is also a non-pollution environmentally friendly abrasive media.
In the process of shot peening, a large number of ceramic beads are sprayed onto the surface of the part. The violent impact causes extremely strong plastic deformation on the surface of the metal part, resulting in a certain thickness of the cold hardened layer on the surface of the part, called the surface strengthening layer.This layer will improve the fatigue strength of parts under high temperature and high humidity.
