Black aluminum oxide, also known as low-aluminum corundum, is a black gray crystal with α-Al2O3 and iron spinel as the main ore phase, produced by melting aluminum bauxite in an electric arc furnace.

Two grades are available, one is ordinary grade, with Al2O3 60%Min., another is top grade, with Al2O3 80%Min..

The top grade BA is researched and produced to replace of 95% grade Brown aluminum oxide in bonded abrasives application and sandblasting application.

Applicable to produce Resin-bonded cutting disc by mixing with BFA

Adding15%-30% black aluminum oxide grits with brown fused alumina to produce resin bonded cutting discs can improve the cuttings discs work life and the incision quality. Moreover, it can reduce the production cost obviously.

Black Aluminum Oxide girts can be used as blasting media to sandblast for Stainless steel, metal products, optical glass, bamboo and wood products for impurity cleaning, vessel body de-rusting cleaning, de-burring, surface decontamination , matte treatment, pre-treatment before coating, pipeline cleaning, Jean cloth sandblasting, etching art, stress relief etc.

Comparing with Grade A Brown Aluminum oxide (Al2O3 95%), and Grade B Brown Aluminum oxide (Al2O3 85%), Black aluminum oxide is with moderate hardness, and stable performance, can replace 95 BFA easily, and has stable supply and lower price.
