The GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG series disc type permanent magnet generator features an innovative coreless design where the spindle and rotor are assembled in a disc-shaped stack. The stator remains fixed at the center while rotors rotate on both sides, with the spindle containing only windings and omitting traditional iron cores.
Both stator and rotor utilize a flat disc structure with axial air gap magnetic flux, alternately arranged along the axial direction. This configuration enables a short axial length with large diameter, supporting multi-pole design for high power-to-mass ratio, low speed rating, and low wind speed startup capability.
Available in outer and inner rotor models, the GDG series offers compact size, low energy consumption, lightweight construction, and robust efficiency, making it ideal for direct-drive vertical axis wind turbines.
