Should I nail shoe moulding to the floor or baseboard?
Always nail shoe moulding into the baseboard (or wall plate), never into the floor. This allows the floor to expand and contract freely while the moulding stays firmly attached to the wall structure.
How does PVC shoe moulding compare to flexible vinyl shoe moulding?
PVC shoe moulding is more rigid than flexible vinyl strip moulding, providing cleaner, straighter lines and a more substantial feel. It still offers enough flexibility to accommodate typical floor unevenness.
Can this be used with radiant floor heating?
Yes. Our PVC shoe moulding has a heat deflection temperature of 72°C (Vicat B50), well above the typical radiant floor surface temperature of 27-30°C. It will not warp, sag, or emit odors.
Do you offer pre-finished colors or only primed white?
Standard offering is primed white. We offer custom color painting and wood-grain lamination services with a minimum order quantity of 5,000 pcs per color. Contact us for custom color options.
