Based on ship size and work needs. Larger for big ships, smaller for small boats. For bottom cleaning/repair, bigger ones for worker comfort. 1.5m, 1.8m, 2m, or 2.5m suitable for large ships.
III. Number of Layers
More layers mean greater bearing capacity. Enough air bags with enough layers for lifting. Generally, 6 layers enough. In strict cases, 7-8 layers for roller air bags. E.g., for heavy caissons with limited contact area, need higher pressure and more plies.
