Our 6250 - 60YH liquid silicone rubber is a two-component material, and the silicone rubber includes Part A base silicone and Part B curing agent. The Part A base silicone and Part B curing agent can cured at room temperature by an addition reaction, it can be heating during the action, the higher temperature, the faster curing. All LSR are platinum cured (vulcanized) materials which are mixed in a 1: 1 ratio by weight.

Q: What is the shelf life of a silicone product?
A: The effective shelf life of silicone rubber compounds is dependent largely on what is required from the compound in processing terms. The material tends to stiffen with age but this can be overcome by freshening on a two-roll mill. In general terms, most compounds have a declared shelf life of at least 6 months.
Q: Is silicone toxic?
A: Silicone is considered to be a very safe polymer with virtually no toxic effects in most environments. Also, as silicone is not considered as hazardous waste it can be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations regarding waste disposal.

Packing & Storage
Available in 20kg pails or 200kg drums.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, use it within 12 months from the day of manufacture.

This product cannot be contacted with compounds containing N, P, S to avoid affecting the catalytic effect of platinum.
