It is recommended that WQ-109 and Joncryl 678 can be substituted for each other because they have similar performance.

WQ-109  is a general purpose, medium molecular weight resin for aqueous inks, pigment dispersions and overprint varnishes. It improves gloss, permanence and solubility in ink overprint varnish formulations and can also be used to produce inorganic and organic pigment dispersions. 

WQ-109 a solid alkali-soluble acrylic resin with medium molecular weight. Amines or other basic substances can be used as neutralizing agents.

No co-solvent is needed in the preparation process, so the finished product has low-VOC. It is very suitable for gravure printing inks and water-based varnishes.
