Alkyd Resins for Ambient Temperature Drying Coatings

Water based Alkyd resins form the largest group of the synthetic resins available to the paint industries and consumption is greater than that of the any other resin for wide variety of application due to their low cost and versatility.

Our water based alkyd resin gives excellent application properties for brush, roller and spray. High gloss can be easily achieved due to the leveling capability of the alkyd, and adhesion to a variety of substrates. Excellent chemical resistance, hardness development and water resistance are developed over a short time period through oxidative crosslinking (depending on humidity and temperature).

Water based alkyd resin WL-310 is a modified alkyd emulsion diluted with water neutralized by ammonia, containing a small amount of co-solvent. This product reduces the content of organic volatiles (VOC) on the coating surface. Meanwhile, it combines the characteristic of fast drying, with the good film performances . (including high gloss, excellent salt fog resistance).

It is recommended to use in high performance protective coating and steel structure coating for indoor and outdoor metal equipments, can be used as primers and topcoats.
