Purpose and uses 

It is one of the safety devices of Construction Hoists.

For emergency stop in case the cage exceeds the limit position.

When the hoist cage exceeds the limit possition, it will switch of the power of the cage and stop the machine. 

Work principle

Mainly suitable for AC 50Hz/60Hz, rated working voltage to
380V/440V construction elevator power supply circuit. When the limit switch of the construction hoist loses its function, the Ultimate Limit Switch is used to break the power supply of the elevator to achieve the terminal protection of the construction lift.
