12 V Brush DC Gear Motor With Worm Gearbox for Electric Door Locks
N20 brush DC motor attached with worm gear box and magnet encoder
N20 is a DC gear motor that uses precious metal wire drawing DC motor and is equipped with a precision metal reducer. The external dimensions are flat circular, with an outer diameter of 12 and a flat surface of 10. The motor length is 15mm and the gearbox length is 18mm. DC motors are widely used in fields such as cameras, copiers, door locks, optical drives, precision instruments, and cameras due to their mature technology, low cost, and simple drive control.
After being equipped with a gearbox, the torque greatly increases, the speed decreases, and it is easy to control.
For gearboxes, we have different gear ratios for you to choose from, regular gearboxes and worm gearboxes. For a regular gearbox, the output shaft and motor shaft are in the same direction. For worm gear boxes, the output shaft is perpendicular to the motor shaft.
Our gearbox is processed and assembled using imported machine tools to ensure that the accuracy of each gear is higher than other manufacturers in the same industry. Therefore, the gearbox has stable transmission, low noise, high efficiency, reliable structure, long service life, and good quality.
There is an encoder connected to the bottom of the motor. It is a magnetic encoder with Hall elements. The Hall element can test the position of the magnetic ring.
Therefore, when the motor rotates one revolution, several signal pulses are generated (the number of pulses depends on the magnetic poles on the magnetic ring). In this case, the motor will provide feedback signals, and users can determine how many revolutions the motor has rotated based on the encoder signal.

About DC motor structure
The above diagram shows the basic structure of a DC brushed motor.
This type of DC motor is composed of a stator, rotor, brushes and commutator. The mutual driving of the stator and rotor magnetic fields drive the motor to rotate. When they start and run, the brush part generates sparks and is not suitable for use in special applications.
The relative movement of brushes and commutator is easy to wear, and the life time of DC brushed motor with common structure is generally not very long, usually 200~2000 hours. For customers who have strict life time requirement for motor, it is recommended to choose stepper motor.
