Gabion mattresses are constructed from hexagonal double-twisted steel wire mesh, designed for river bank protection and erosion control applications. These flexible, permeable structures are filled with stones on-site to form monolithic barriers that effectively diffuse water flow and reduce scouring.

Construction Features
Reinforcement & Surface Treatment
All mattress edges are selvedged with thicker diameter wire for enhanced structural integrity. Available surface treatments include:
- Heavy zinc coated steel wire for corrosion resistance
- PVC coated wire (0.5-1mm thickness) for superior protection in harsh environments
Assembly Instructions
- Open the bundle and unfold each unit
- Lift sides, ends, and diaphragms into vertical position
- Attach corners with locking wire fasteners or lacing wire
- Secure diaphragms to front and back of gabion structure
