Corrosion resistance
C276 alloy is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The high content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and tungsten further improves its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the few materials that can withstand the corrosion of moist chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions. This alloy has significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chloride solutions (such as iron chloride and copper chloride).
