Introduction to BL Flange
Flange blind plate, also known as blind flange, its real name is blind plate. It is a connection form of flange. It's actually a flange without a hole in the middle.
One of its functions is to block the end of the pipeline, and the other is to facilitate the removal of sundries in the pipeline during maintenance. In terms of sealing effect, it has the same effect as head and pipe cap. However, there is no way to disassemble the head, and the flange blind plate is fixed with bolts, which is very convenient for disassembly. Flange blind plates are made of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, plastic and so on
Corrosion resistance and main application environment: compared with 316L and 317L austenitic stainless steel, 2205 alloy has superior performance in spot corrosion and crack corrosion resistance. It has high corrosion resistance. Compared with austenite, it has lower coefficient of thermal expansion and higher thermal conductivity. The compressive strength of duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy is twice that of austenitic stainless steel. Compared with 316L and 317L, the designer can reduce its weight. Alloy 2205 is especially suitable for the temperature range of - 50 ° f / + 600 ° F. it can also be used for lower temperatures under strict restrictions (especially for welded structures).
