30-250 Big Size Down-Hole Insert Sucker Rod Pump
Insert rod pump systems are available in four distinct groups: RHA, RHB, RWA, and RWB configurations to meet various oil extraction requirements.
Industry Standard Specifications
The industry-standardized plunger (pump-bore) sizes range from 1 1/16 to 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The latest API Spec. 11AX includes the innovative "X-type" barrel configuration featuring thin-walled barrel threads on both ends, designed exclusively for metal plungers. This advanced design eliminates the need for extension couplings, addressing burst and collapse concerns while enabling deeper production depths.
Operating Principle
Sucker rod pumps operate through a precise mechanical cycle:
- Motor and gear box drive the power shaft
- Counter weights on cranks provide balanced operation
- Pitman arms connect walking beam to cranks
- Downstroke: Plunger and horse head lower to complete fluid intake
- Upstroke: Horsehead and plunger lift fluid from bottom to surface
- Valve operation: Standing valve opens (riding valve closes) during upstroke; Standing valve closes (riding valve opens) during downstroke
