Drill pipe screens, also known as rod filters, are essential components in petroleum and geological drilling operations. These screens filter drilling fluid to protect MWD (Measurement While Drilling) instruments and prevent impurities from blocking water holes during circulation.
Product Overview
The drill pipe screen consists of a connector and filter screen assembly. The connector features a ledge that houses the filter screen, which is positioned under the drill rod to replace traditional connectors. During drilling fluid circulation, impurities are filtered out, ensuring clean drilling fluid reaches critical instruments.
