Hydrocyclone Overview
Hydrocyclone is a robust solid-liquid separation equipment widely used in mineral processing, chemical industry, and wastewater treatment applications. The system utilizes centrifugal force generated by internal water flow to efficiently separate solid particles from liquids. With its simple design, compact footprint, and straightforward operation, hydrocyclone serves as a critical component in modern separation technology.
Working Principle
The feed material is introduced under pressure through a tangential entry point, creating a swirling motion within the pulp. This generates a powerful vortex in the cyclone, establishing a low-pressure zone along the vertical axis. An air core develops along this axis, typically connected to the atmosphere through the apex opening, partially formed by dissolved air released in the low-pressure zone.
