Float Valve Functionality
Installed in the standard bore-back of the bit sub, the drill pipe float valve provides precise fluid flow control at the bottom of the drill stem. It effectively prevents backflow of cuttings from plugging drill bit jets during connection operations.

Float Valve Sub Application
The float valve sub connects at the upper part of the drill bit, with the float valve assembly positioned near the bit connecting thread. This critical tool prevents mud inflow, mud up returning, and hole blocking when connecting with single piece pipe. During blowout situations, the valve cap automatically closes to prevent blowout in the drill string.
