API 16D Koomey BOP Control System Overview
The API 16D Koomey Surface BOP Remote Control Unit Accumulator System is specialized equipment designed for controlling blowout preventer stacks, hydraulic chokes, kill systems, and diverter equipment in petroleum and natural gas drilling operations.
System Functionality
This control system prepares and stores hydraulic oil while controlling flow direction to rapidly open or close BOPs. The system automatically replenishes hydraulic oil when pressure drops below specified levels, maintaining consistent high-pressure operation.
