Technical Features
Our BOP packing elements feature three structural designs: spherical plastic core annular BOP, cone-shaped plastic core annular BOP, and tube-shaped plastic core annular BOP. The annular BOP top cap and housing connect via bolts or claw blocks for secure operation.
Key performance advantages include rational structural design, easy operation, extended plastic core lifespan, wide adaptability range, and capability to seal pipe strings with nominal paths from 0-DN in various shapes. These components deliver optimal performance when used in combination with ram blowout preventers.
Operating Principle
During well control operations, high-pressure oil (10.5Mpa) from control systems enters the close-cavity under the piston through the housing oil outlet. This action promotes plastic core movement upward along the ball surface, causing bearing tendons to converge and move rubber components toward the wellhead center to effectively seal drilling tools or completely seal the wellhead.
For opening operations, hydraulic pressure oil enters the open-cavity above the piston from the housing oil inlet, pushing the piston downward. The plastic core then resets using its own elasticity, allowing the wellhead to open safely.
