Reverse Circulation Junk Basket Overview
The API-certified Reverse Circulation Junk Basket (RCJB) is engineered to efficiently remove small debris and junk objects from oilfield wellbores. This specialized fishing tool eliminates the need for pulling wet strings, maintaining reverse circulation even when equipped with magnet inserts for enhanced debris collection.
Operation Procedure
The RCJB is connected to the bottom of the fishing string and positioned several feet above the hole bottom. After initiating circulation to clean the hole, a steel ball is dropped to activate the reverse circulation mechanism. This creates a fluid path that carries debris upward into the barrel above the junk catcher. The tool then cuts a 10-inch core before retrieval.
