API Standard Casing Cup Tester & Pressure Testing Plug
The API Standard Casing Cup Tester, also known as a Casing Pressure Testing Plug, is engineered for downhole pressure testing applications. This essential tool attaches to the drill string and is lowered into the casing beneath the wellhead to conduct comprehensive pressure tests on blowout preventer stacks and wellhead assemblies.
Operation & Testing Methods
Once positioned in the casing beneath the wellhead, pressure is applied using either a test pump or through the hoisting method after filling the hookup with water. The hoisting method provides fast and highly accurate testing results.
Performance Specifications
All cup tester assemblies are rated to API standard mill test pressure for casing sizes up to 10,000 psi. Special reinforcement options are available across all cup sizes and casing weight ranges to withstand pressures up to 15,000 psi.
