Solid core doors reflect sound just like walls, but are often ignored in acoustic treatments. Our ultra-thin polyester acoustic panels can be cut to precisely overlay any office door, transforming it into a noise-absorbing surface without interfering with handle, hinge, or closer operation. The 6–9mm thick material provides an NRC of up to 0.80, catching chatter before it passes through door gaps and reducing hallway noise transmission. The lightweight panels adhere with removable strips or permanent adhesive, and can be trimmed around door viewers, push plates, and signage cutouts. They are non-toxic, fire-rated, and available in colors that blend with existing door finishes. Treat every private office, phone room, and meeting room door to create a quieter, more confidential atmosphere on both sides of the threshold.

How It Works

Sound waves striking the door are partially absorbed by the polyester felt, reducing the energy that reflects back into the room or corridor. While the panel does not add significant mass for sound blocking, it dampens the door’s vibrational response and reduces the “drumhead" effect. The material’s cuttability ensures full coverage around door hardware without compromising door function or fire rating.
